a collective of children's story writers

My Story
As a psychologist by profession, Tenille understands the importance of emotional connection and storytelling in shaping young minds. Though her professional writing journey is just beginning, Tenille has a heart full of stories and a love for the written word stretching back to childhood. She remembers being entranced as her Grandpa, who shared her passion, recited the works of Henry Kendall and Banjo Paterson when she was barely old enough to read.
In her journey to becoming a writer, Tenille has dabbled in poetry, short stories, playwriting, and song writing, winning a few poetry competitions along the way.
Tenille became a mother during the COVID-19 lockdown, prompting her rediscovered enchantment with children's literature. With a burst of creativity one rainy day, Tenille developed an entire children's book series before her daughter's bedtime, igniting a spark in her that hasn't slowed since. Fueled by inspiration from the chaotic and heartwarming moments of family life, Tenille realised she was ready to take her writing seriously.
She was thrilled to be invited to join the vibrant writing group of The Ten Penners after a chance encounter at the 2024 Beenleigh Book Fest. Tenille is committed to creating stories that will inspire young readers. She is looking forward to sharing her creative journey with others in 2025 and beyond.
Keep an eye out as Tenille gets closer to her dream of becoming a children's author writing stories sharing the wonder of a neurospicy world.
