My Story

Carly Been works in a number of different retail jobs, selling books, telescopes and other educational toys. This is because she enjoys meeting people and selling stuff, and hasn't figured out how to get paid to sit reading her books and drinking coffee.

Carly loves her family more than anything, but reading and writing come a close second, and she did finish a Master's degree (MPhil, Lit.) in 2012.

Carly writes for the Ten Penners to help promote reading to young people, and so her children can see that their Mum is actually writing something,  even though it looks like she's just staring vacantly at her computer.
